This session will outline five key steps to kick-start compliance: identifying AI systems, assessing risk levels, documenting requirements, implementing internal controls, and establishing responsible governance. Through practical examples, such as applications like SIGNO or virtual assistants, we’ll explore how to interpret and apply the regulation effectively in real-world scenarios.

VÍCTOR GARCIA

AI Department Manager, Conversia

Víctor Garcia Dominguez holds a degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from UAB. He carried out his thesis work at Florida International University. He has earned a Master’s degree in Visual Tools to Empower Citizens from UdG and another Master’s degree in Data Science from UOC.
He joined the Intelligent Data Science and Artificial Intelligence research group (IDEAI-UPC), where he worked for 2 years and 3 months as a support technician, collaborating closely with the group’s director. Currently, he is the Head of AI at Conversia Consulting Group, where he has spent the last two years. He leads the AI department, orchestrating operations, project deliveries, talent development and the annual innovation roadmap while advising the executive committee on strategic, company-wide AI opportunities. He has spearheaded generative-AI rollouts and delivered comprehensive enterprise training that embeds cross-functional AI expertise and impact. He has also contributed actively to various technology conferences and projects, helping design programmes as an organiser and delivering talks on applied AI.

LAURA APARICIO

Senior Legal Consultant, Conversia

Laura Aparicio graduated in Law from the University of Girona. She is a Data Protection Officer (DPO) and a specialist in the RIA.
She has over eight years of experience in the consulting sector, specializing in data protection and information society services, advising both public and private organizations. She leads implementation, training, audit, and oversight projects for regulatory compliance and performs DPO functions, providing strategic, technical, and regulatory support.
