María del Rocío Navarro Dávila earned her degree in Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has over 8 years of experience developing and executing projects in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and data analysis. At Minsait, she has served as a Data Scientist Consultant and Team Lead & Senior Data Scientist. Currently, she is the Head of Innovation and Special AI Projects. Her current responsibilities include managing AI projects and leading technical teams.

AIbook is an educational solution developed in collaboration with AWS, based on Generative Artificial Intelligence. This solution guides the user in generating content—whether text, image, audio, or a combination of all three—thanks to the capabilities and richness of multimodal resources. Additionally, this solution allows the generated content to be incorporated into a knowledge base, with which you can then interact in a co-piloted manner through a text box or an avatar, using multimodal resources in its responses.

Anabel de la Paz is an antiquarian book and heritage collections librarian. She specialises in the cataloguing and organisation of collections formed during the colonisation of the Philippine Archipelago. She has collaborated and produced several catalogues of the collections of the University of San Tomas (Philippines). Currently, she is in charge of the ArxiuLliure project, a digital space of the Teatre Lliure from Barcelona that allows to navigate through its documentary collections in an open way. Her PhD research at the University of Barcelona focuses on how to document the ephemerality of theatre.

Pep Casals is a Technical Engineer in Computer Science from the Rovira i Virgili University and holds a Postgraduate Degree in Information Systems Management. He has over 25 years of experience in consulting and project management in knowledge management. Since 2013, he has worked at Nubilum focusing on strategic solutions, and since 2017, at Coeli, specializing in cloud-based heritage collection management software. With a solid mix of technical and business knowledge, he leads projects with a global perspective and a clear customer-oriented approach.

Teatre Lliure, a major centre for contemporary creation and stage performance in the country, is undertaking an experimental project to catalogue over 47,000 photographs since 1976 using an artificial intelligence tool called “qUIC”. This initiative includes facial recognition to identify over 120,000 faces from the institution’s photographic collections. In this presentation, we will share the project from a technical and experiential perspective, exploring the relationship between artificial and human intelligence using systems to enhance the efficiency of the cataloguing process.
