Content of the 2024 edition

AI & Big Data Congress confirms, in its 10th anniversary, the unstoppable growth of artificial intelligence.

On the occasion of the tenth edition, the scientific career of professor emeritus Ramón López de Mántaras, pioneer of AI in Catalonia, has been recognized.

Technology expert Rika Nakazawa, recognized as one of the 50 most influential women in the United States according to Forbes magazine, has talked about the sustainability of technology.

The second day of the congress has highlighted how the integration of AI technologies and quantum computing will increase processing speed exponentially. The congress has also presented innovative initiatives in the use of classical AI and generative AI with cases from the cultural and industrial sectors, advances in the explainability of AI and optimization in decision-making.

2024 keynote speaker:

Rika Nakazawa,
Chief Commercial Innovation, NTT DATA

Rika is a technology leader, VC investor, best-selling author, and frequent public speaker on technology-powered industry transformation. She is Chief Commercial Innovation at NTT, a leading technology and communications services and solutions provider with more than 340,000 innovators around the world.

Ramon López de Mántaras,
Professor at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (CSIC)

Ramon López de Mántaras is a CSIC Emeritus Research Professor at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (IIIA), of which he was founder and director. He is also a visiting professor at Western University. A pioneer of artificial intelligence (AI) in Spain and Europe, he has been researching AI since 1975.

Recognition to outstanding business initiatives:

To highlight the 10-year anniversary of the Congress, the program committee has selected four companies to give them public recognition, according to several criteria such as: the trajectory, evolution and scalability of the business project, the social impact of its products or solutions; or its vision and strategy, among others. 9th October

On the first day of the congress, we will have the participation of different experts who will give their vision of AI putting the person at the centre (whether as a user, citizen, patient, …), regarding topics such as: human and social relations, geopolitics, sustainability, ethics and regulation, business, innovation, finance and banking, the future of work, leisure, etc.

The second day of the congress reviewed the main technological trends through six thematic sessions in parallel (in the Auditorium and in Room 1).
