Contents of the 2025 edition

The AI Congress anticipates that the combination of artificial intelligence and automation will redefine economic and social sectors.

The eleventh edition of the congress recognized the professional career of robotics expert, Carme Torras, who also presented the co-design of robotic assistants and its potential to position Catalonia as a pioneer in the application of technology in health.

NVIDIA’s Vice President for Supercomputing, Rod Evans, reflected on the sovereignty of artificial intelligence, a term that refers to the ability of a nation to develop, deploy and govern AI systems in accordance with its own laws, ethical standards and strategic priorities.

2025 Keynote speaker:

ROD EVANS, Vice President for Supercomputing, Higher Education and AI for Europe, NVIDIA

Rod is a highly accomplished international business leader with more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry, and a proven track record of driving success and innovation. He joined NVIDIA in 2018 and has overseen strong growth in the HPC and Artificial Intelligence businesses across Europe.

MARIO LANZA, Professor of the National University of Singapore

Mario Lanza got his PhD in Electronic Engineering in 2020 at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Currently, he is Professor at National University of Singapore, where he works on the development of energy-efficient hardware for artificial intelligence.

In the 2025 edition, the program committee has recognized the professional career of Ms. Carme Torras, Head of the Robotic Perception and Manipulation Group, Institute of Robotics and Industrial Informatics (CSIC-UPC).
Bachelor of Mathematics (UB), Master of Computing (UMass), PhD in Computer Science (UPC), Head of the research group on care robotics at the Institute of Robotics, CSIC-UPC. National Research Award 2020 for her contributions to intelligent and social robotics. Manel Xifra Technology Transfer Award 2024. Creu de Sant Jordi 2024.
